Al Farouk Islamic School was founded in 1986 by Mr. Mohammad Shaker a civil engineer
whose vision was to produce a religious citizen to the society who knows his responsibilities
towards his creator first, then towards his community.
The first building was begun in 1986 and the school opened its doors for students
on September 1st, 1986 with an enrollment of 207 students. This number increased
to 350 in 1987.
The first class to graduate from the school was in 1997.
Since that time, thousands of kids have passed through the open doors of the school
to receive instructions in the rudiments of knowledge and the ideals of life and
have gone forth in the service of Allah, country and society. Today the school has
an approximate enrollment of 3000 from kindergarten to third secondary.
When the enrollment of the school grew beyond its physical capacity, it was a must
to build another school in New Cairo in the year 2000.
The course of study is that prescribed by the Ministry of Education, including an
intensive high level course in English Language. The Alumnae of the school best
illustrate the school's.
Today all our school graduates pursue higher studies and several carry MA and Ph.D.
degrees in different fields. They have entered all professions.
They are university professors, doctors, lawyers, teachers, radio and TV announcers
and producers, dentists, chemists, diplomats, etc. Several gained international
recognition in their fields. Al Farouk Islamic School, can't be called a school
but a living thing that lives in our students who spent a long period of their life
in it.
Al Farouk was founded 25 years ago, quarter of a century, so this year we will celebrate
this happy occasion. We are proud of the previous generations and look forward to
success in various fields, not only in education but also at home and in society.
This urges us to exert more efforts for the future of this rooted institute.
